Sora Ventures, MXC Labs, and Others to Invest 10M USD into Corra NFT Ecosystem
With the recent bubble in NFT arts and gaming, new investors are starting to hedge their bets on the next big thing in NFT. Some have speculated domain names, but Sora Ventures, MXC, BitForex, along with other prominent investors in the Fund have started to explore other sectors of NFT, especially in Social Media.
“NFT has always been a fancy toy for high end celebrities, making it very hard for the ‘regular joe’ to trade. Social Media NFT has much more potential because NFT tweet, Instagram photos are much cheaper, which means it has the potential to grow, because it is targeting a wider audience” — Says Katherine Deng, VP of MXC Labs.
MXC, along with other exchanges have started building platforms around NFT and will soon service this sector. Along the way, they have invested into Corra.Finance to further streamline the use case of social media NFT. Corra.Finance is a plug-and-play platform that enables the monetization of digital content using NFT technology. The new 10M NFT Fund will drive the initial boost in Corra’s NFT marketplace and to encourage users to NFT their social media posts, photos, videos, on Corra to become the next “disaster girl”.
“We are extremely bullish on Social Media NFT. I think DeFi was the play last year, NFT arts and gaming was the play early this year, but the next 12 months will definitely be Social Media NFTs”, Says Jason Fang, Founder of Corra.Finance and Sora Ventures.
The new 10M NFT Fund will invest in over 1000 NFT over the course of 12 months.
